Writing in the genes

Pippa Goldschmidt, my fellow writer in residence at the Genomics Forum, has launched a short story competition. Look at anything human, under the aspect of what we've learned from our understanding of the genome and genetics - that's a wide blank page to write on.

And, for those of you with selfish genes, the prize money is very attractive indeed ...

My, what fortunate timing! I'm starting a creative writing course but have been struggling a little for inspiration as to subjects (besides a general desire to write sci-fi/horror/techie short stories). The possibilities on this topic are pretty much endless so I'm bound to be able to come up with something, even if the writing itself is distinctly amateurish. Cheers for the tip!

ray - ain't that the troof.

cannonballjones - best of luck.

It took me a while, but I have discerned the bilingual pun concealed within that name. To see it, just delete the "a"s, the first three "n"s, the "b", and the "l"s. Coincidence? I think not.
