Observing the Leonid Meteor Shower
I'm sure my talented brother James could do a better job of this, but here it is anyway, on a rainy night in South Queensferry.
james - I love you too, bro! I thought of this joke the moment I was told about the Highland Astronomy Group. In all fairness to the Highlands, I've seen breathtaking night skies there. Of course, Greenock is no more in the Highlands than Queensferry is, so it's no wonder you grew up thinking it was all one with 'waters above the firmament'.
Ken - it's fantastic. I wouldn't change a thing. I also now realize where my conception of the cosmos until I was about 25 came from...
