Coming attraction (local)

I'm giving a talk/reading at South Queensferry Library (on the 43 bus route - get off at Police Station stop then walk in the direction of travel to the next corner and cross the road at the foot of the hill carefully, children) tomorrow (Wednesday 12) at 7 p.m. The library is temptingly close to The Moorings, if anyone facies a drink afterwards.

Is this part of the big "year of Raeding" promotion, which I know our local libraries are involved with?

Bit late to mention NaNoWriMo, and it might not be the sort of creative writing that the small-scale, local, literary types go for.

Yeah, much satirised in Private Eye, I know. Has the Internet changed things? Do they blog their poetry now?

It was part of Edinburgh Festival of Libraries, which has another couple of days to run.

NaNoWriMo has pulled in a lot more than the 'small-scale, local, literary types' (not that there's anything wrong with these). I'm quite inspired by it myself, seeing as I'm running late and all.y the way. Thanks to everyone who came!

The event went well, b

Last sentences garbled, but I'm sure they can be figured out :-)

So you did go to the pub after all!!

Pleasure to meet you & thanks for an entertaining evening

Actually, I didn't go to the pub - the sentences were garbled by my unfamiliarity with the keyboard on a new notebook.

It was great meeting you. Hope we see you in Edinburgh again before too long - though I know how awkward it is to get to and from Alloa.
