Carol Ann MacLeod, 11 February 1952 to 16 August 2024

Carol, my beloved wife whom I met in 1979 and married in 1981, died on Friday 16 August.

She was the centre of my world, and she's gone.

There will be a funeral service at Greenock Crematorium, on Monday 2 September, at 2 pm, to which all family and friends are invited. Family flowers only please. There will be a retiral collection in aid of Carol's favourite charities.

  9. Hi Ken I just wanted to reach out and say how sorry I am to hear your news. You were always just lovely at conventions so I can only suppose she was equally lovely Rachel Taylor né Baker

  19. My deepest condolences to the MacLeod family. Carol was such a joy. Got to meet her in 2010 at a Simply Red get together. We instantly liked one another. We said we were pretend cousins. I know how much she loved Ken and her children. Goodbye, Carol. You will surely be missed.

  20. Carol was a truly wonderful work colleague and role model. Always kind, patient, compassionate. You always felt safe and secure when you worked with her, and in turn this meant you enjoyed coming in to work knowing Carol would be there! She loved looking after her patients, and they in turn loved her looking after them. I feel such sadness for you, and your family, that Carol is no longer with you, and pass on my heartfelt condolences X

  21. I am very sad to hear this. My heartfelt condolences. I heard such nice things about your wife only recently and how she was the star of the one of the Worldcon walks, and what a nice she person. I was hoping to meet her in a future convention myself. I couldn't believe it when I my wife mentioned it to me this morning, reading it on The Ansible.
